Artist Barbara Hayen  paints outdoors in  both watercolors and oil.  One of her favorite subjects to paint is rural WI scenes.  Lately she has been painting more street scenes at events and local attractions.

 Today Barbara paints both “plein air” and studio work in oils.

James Hempel is an oil painter whose richly layered canvases play out the subtle drama of light, air, and color evoked within the changing seasons of the rural Midwest and Western landscape. Plein air studies and sketchbook drawings completed during his frequent travels around the country stand alone as complete works in themselves, or serve as the basis for full-sized paintings completed in the studio.

Judith Reidy’s Artwork is about mystery in life’s dance.  Just as a thimble would serve as a meager container for the ocean, … words inadequately circumscribe the visual metaphor in Judith’s work.  Her Pastel paintings are incredible and now her new works in Glass are equally exceptional.
